Rhyl 1-1 Bangor City: Aaron Bowen rescued a point for Rhyl at home to Bangor City in Gareth Owen's first competitive game in charge of the Lilywhites. Sam Hart gave Bangor the lead from the penalty spot six minutes into the second half after Joe Williams had been fouled. But Bowen's header from a corner with three minutes remaining secured a share of the spoils for Rhyl in front of a crowd of over 1,200.

Airbus UK Broughton 5-1 Carmarthen Town: Airbus UK Broughton started the season in style with a comfortable victory over Carmarthen. Matty McGinn's third minute free-kick gave them the lead before Mark Jones replied for Carmarthen. Summer signing Tony Gray restored the home side's lead with Ryan Wade adding a third two minutes later. Andy Jones scored a fourth before Gray scored his second and Aibus's fifth two minutes before half-time.

Gap Connah's Quay 0-2 Newtown: Neil Mitchell opened the scoring for Newtown at Deeside Stadium and Chris Hughes' side sealed victory on the opening weekend of the season when Connah's Quay's Paul Linwood put the ball in his own net.

Haverfordwest County 0-4 The New Saints: Welsh Premier League champions The New Saints were too strong for newly promoted Haverfordwest at Bridge Meadow. Alex Darlington gave the visitors the lead before Chris Seargeant's free-kick doubled their advantage. Darlington scored his second on 59 minutes before substitute Greg Draper sealed victory with 12 minutes remaining.

Port Talbot Town 0-0 Bala Town: Port Talbot and Bala Town shared the points at Genquip Stadium although the visitors missed an opportunity to secure victory when Connall Murtagh missed a second half penalty after he had been brought down in the area by Paul Fowler.

MBi Llandudno 3-2 Aberystwyth Town: Llandudno came from behind to beat Aberystwyth Town on their Welsh Premier League debut. Chris Venables gave the visitors the lead but Gareth Evans levelled for Llandudno. Debutant Marc Williams put the home side ahead before half-time with Danny Hughes extending their lead after the break. Venables scored from the spot to reduce the deficit but Llandudno held on for a memorable win.
