Falkirk 2-1 Dumbarton

Falkirk moved top of the Scottish Championship with a narrow home victory over Dumbarton.

Blair Alston gave the hosts the lead, lashing the ball high into the net from the left side of the box.

Interviews - Stevie Aitken and Peter Houston

A terrific strike from a similar area by Craig Sibbald doubled the Bairns' lead, the forward twisting and turning before finding the top right corner.

Darren Barr nodded one back for the Sons after Gregor Buchanan had headed a corner back across goal.

However, that first-half effort proved only to be consolation for the visitors.

Peter Houston's Falkirk lead Rangers and Queen of the South by a point, with the latter two sides meeting in Dumfries on Sunday.
