Woking 2-0 Welling United

Jimmy Keohane
Jimmy Keohane scored nine goals in four years at Exeter City before he was released this summer

Woking extended their unbeaten run to six games as they sent Welling into the National League's bottom four.

John Goddard headed the home side into the lead to complete a classic counter-attacking goal.

Working broke after a Welling corner and Bruno Andrade sent in a cross for Goddard to head past Tom King.

Jimmy Keohane then scored on his debut as he shot from the edge of the box after the former Exeter midfielder got on the end of a Kieran Murtagh pass.

Woking boss Garry Hill told BBC Surrey:

"It was a tough game and Welling always seem to be a tough game here at Kingfield but certainly I thought in the first half we had more chances.

"You mustn't turn round and paint a false picture because you've won 2-0, on another day we could've got punished in the first half. We rallied round and I think people can see it's starting to mean a great deal to the defenders that a clean sheet is massive.

"We've had four clean sheets now in seven games and that's a good return."
