Forest Green Rovers 2-1 Bromley

James Jennings
James Jennings scored his first of the season in the 3-1 win over Lincoln City

National League leaders Forest Green Rovers maintained their 100% record with victory over Bromley.

James Jennings opened the scoring early on, diverting Aarran Racine's header just inside the far post.

Alex Wall equalised with a looping header before Jennings doubled his tally, claiming the final touch after a melee in the six-yard box.

Jonny Maxted denied Bromley's Bradley Goldberg twice before Alan Julian kept out Jon Parkin's late effort.

Forest Green boss Ady Pennock told BBC Radio Gloucestershire:

"I thought both keepers were fantastic. It was a very open game, we knew the way they'd play because of the pace in the team and it was good entertainment for the fans.

"We've gone on an unbelievable run with seven wins out of seven so I can't complain. We were a bit open at the back but we regrouped at half time and we were much better defensively in the second half."

"We've worked very hard and we just have to keep pushing on. The toughest game is the next one and we've got to concentrate on Chester now."
