Scunthorpe United 0-1 Blackpool

Blackpool recorded their first victory since January with a narrow away win at Scunthorpe.

The Seasiders had gone 24 matches without a victory in all competitions but Brad Potts bundled in before the break to give them all three points at Glanford Park.

It gave Neil McDonald's side a first win away from Bloomfield Road since a 2-0 victory at Wigan in April 2014.

The Iron pushed for a leveller but keeper Colin Doyle denied Paddy Madden.

The three points were not enough to move Blackpool out of the League One relegation zone but they are now only in there on goal difference.

Scunthorpe sit one point above the bottom four with five points from their opening six league matches.

Scunthorpe United manager Mark Robins told BBC Radio Humberside:

Robins on Scunthorpe v Blackpool

"We've got to bounce back from it. We should have won that game, we didn't play particularly well and we didn't get going.

"They've come for a point and they've managed to go away with all three and it's not what you're looking for and it's not good enough.

"I'm not going to talk about how good we can be and things like that, it's just not good enough at the moment and we need to convert chances.

"The 10 shots we had on target today, we didn't take any of them and we got their goalkeeper man of the match."
