Teddy Sheringham's Stevenage made it three games unbeaten as they defeated high-flying Plymouth.
Connor Ogilvie, on loan from Spurs, scored his first Boro goal after a fluid team move allowed the left-back to fire high into the net.
Stevenage's Charlie Lee blazed over, but made amends when he squared for Chris Whelpdale to tap in.
Craig Tanner hit back for Plymouth in the second half with a close-range header but Stevenage held on to win.
Stevenage boss Teddy Sheringham told BBC Three Counties Radio:
"I really enjoyed today's game, I knew it was going to be a good footballing game.
"We got ourselves in front, because of our endeavour and our composure and in the end I think we deserved to stick it out and get the three points.
"I said to them it was going to be a tough second half, and it proved that. I'm glad we were ready for it and we stood firm
"As long as were improving with each games, that'll make me as a manager happy. It means I'm getting my point across and we are delivering."
