Chester 1-2 Forest Green Rovers

Forest Green became the first team in the history of the fifth tier to win their opening eight games with a battling victory at Chester.

Green's Jon Parkin missed a penalty before flicking on a header to give Elliott Frear the chance to race away and slot past Jon Worsnop.

Chester equalised when John Rooney's free-kick was headed home by Luke George from 12 yards.

Substitute Aaron O'Connor dinked the ball over Worsnop to score the winner.
