The visitors hit the post through Zac Thompson before Liam Dickinson gave them the lead from a penalty, after Exodus Geohaghon felled Will Hatfield.
Geohaghon made amends soon after as he got his first goal for over two-and-a-half years from close range.
In the final 10 minutes Wayne Brooksby hit the post for Guiseley while Torquay's Joe Quigley went close, but neither side could find a winner.
