Truro City manager Steve Tully says his side must take their chances after their 3-1 loss at Gosport Borough.

Matt Wright gave Truro a first-half lead, but they could not stop Gosport, who moved up to third place in National League South.

"Goals change games and when we create that many chances we've go to stick the ball into the back of the net," Tully told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"We didn't do that and we got punished for it."

Truro have slipped to 17th in the division, having won just one of their opening six matches.

"I'm disappointed by the result, but not by the way we played. I think it was the best we have played this term," added Tully.

"We got caught with fine margins and at this level you get punished.

"We'll learn from it, we'll get better and better, and the players are definitely learning the hard way at the moment."
