Police investigate assault at Glenavon-Ballymena reserve game

Police in Lurgan are appealing for information following an assault during a reserve football match between Glenavon and Ballymena United at Mourneview Park on Wednesday 12 August.
The alleged assault is reported to have occurred during an 'off the ball' incident between two players.
A 16-year-old male sustained facial injuries which required medical treatment.
The match ended 3-0 in favour of Ballymena United's reserve team.
"This incident would have occurred in view of the people who attended the match and we would like to hear from any spectators who witnessed the assault or have information which may assist our investigation," read a PSNI statement.
