Woking 0-1 Cheltenham Town

Danny Wright's second-half goal helped Cheltenham beat Woking to record a third consecutive victory.

Visiting keeper Dillon Phillips was in fine form early on as he kept out John Goddard and Jimmy Keohane's fierce efforts.

Harry Cardwell nearly gave the home side the lead, but his deflected header hit the crossbar.

The Robins claimed the win midway through the second-half as Wright headed home Jack Munns' pinpoint cross.

Woking boss Garry Hill told BBC Surrey:

"There was nothing between the two sides at half-time. We started bright in the second half, had three or four corners, and without doubt had some opportunities where we put them under pressure.

"They were very dangerous and Jake Cole made a couple of very good saves at 0-0 - it was nip and tuck and could have gone either way.

"They did us on a corner with Danny Wright coming around the back of the defence to score. We tried to push on, but they then caused us problems on the counter-attack."

Cheltenham Town boss Gary Johnson told BBC Radio Gloucestershire:

"It was an excellent result, I thought we created some good chances. Woking are a decent team, they're not up there for nothing.

"We got the important goal and it was really important as some of the other teams around us have got bad results.

"We're pretty consistent at the moment and if we're not playing great, we're working hard and that's the main thing."
