Southend United 2-1 Scunthorpe United

Southend left-back Ben Coker scored the winner and created the other as the Shrimpers came from behind to beat Scunthorpe and record successive wins for the first time this season.

Gary McSheffrey brought the ball down on the edge of the area before putting Scunthorpe ahead with a curled finish.

Coker set up captain Michael Timlin to stroke the equaliser home, while Paddy Madden struck the post for the Iron.

Coker burst into the area 15 minutes from time to fire home the winner.

Scunthorpe boss Mark Robins told BBC Radio Humberside:

"We spoke about them and the long ball tactic and how we need to cope with that first.

"We've defended okay, okay to a point, but the two goals have been horrendous goals to concede."
