Manager Gary Bowyer praised striker Jordan Rhodes after his two goals helped Blackburn Rovers to their first Championship win of the season.
Scotland international Rhodes, 25, made it four goals in three games with his brace in Saturday's 3-0 home win over Charlton Athletic.
"We know that if we create the chances, we've got the best finisher in the league," said Bowyer.
"He could have been top goalscorer in the league after the last three games."
Bowyer continued: "That shows you how good he is because it doesn't matter to him that he's missed a couple of chances.
"His concentration levels, passion for the game and scoring goals - you won't find anybody better. His scoring rate for the club is phenomenal."
Substitute Tom Lawrence scored the third goal in a victory that lifted Blackburn to 19th in the Championship, with seven points from their opening eight league fixtures.
