Draw specialists Oldham Athletic clocked up another point on the road after being pegged back by a second-half Port Vale equaliser.

David Dunn's side led on 35 minutes with striker Michael Higdon's unmarked header from a Michael Jones corner.

But Vale substitute Uche Ikpeazu transformed the match after coming on.

Midfielder Sam Foley squared for the big striker to equalise on 71 minutes and leave the Latics having to settle for a fifth straight away draw.

It's a Dunn deal
Oldham have now drawn 1-1 in all their three games since former Blackburn Rovers, Birmingham City and England midfielder David Dunn took over as interim manager following the sacking of Darren Kelly.

Oldham, who have now had to share the spoils in seven of their 10 League One games this season, could have gone further in front when Higdon blasted over, while Dominic Poleon also flashed an effort wide just after the break.

But, although Colin Daniel and A J Leitch-Smith did go close in the first period, it was a different story once Vale had brought on Ikpeazu.

The former Crewe loan man caused havoc with his pace and power before finally levelling with his fifth goal of the season.

Port Vale manager Rob Page told BBC Radio Stoke:

"Uche Ikpeazu has come on again and turned the game for us and looked a big threat.

"But we make it hard for ourselves. We switched off at a setpiece. A lapse in concentration.

"We have to concentrate for the full 90 minutes. But it's four points from two games and we'll take that."

Oldham Athletic interim manager David Dunn told BBC Radio Manchester:

"To come and get a draw at an away ground is sometimes not a bad point.

"We've got to be braver in possession. But the one thing we cant criticise is the work we put in.

"I keep hearing all the negatives, but there's nothing to be negative about. We've got a lot of good things going in at this club."
