Gillingham 3-3 Oldham Athletic

Gillingham were held at home for the first time this season as they played out an entertaining draw with Oldham.

Rory Donnelly opened the scoring for the Gills, converting a cross from the edge of the six-yard box.

Brennan Dickenson's own goal put the visitors level, before Donnelly headed in his second of the game.

Dominic Poleon's chip and Michael Higdon's powerful volley put Oldham ahead, but Jake Hessenthaler's superb strike levelled the game.

Oldham Athletic interim manager David Dunn told BBC Radio Manchester:

"We were terrific, very unlucky not to come away with all three points they way we played, the way were in possession and going forward, I'm really pleased.

"Gillingham are a really dynamic and explosive team but I though the way we countered that was great.

"I wasn't surprised that we got back into the game because of the attitude the team have. The work ethic was top drawer.

"Dominic Poleon was terrific, if he carries on as he is we'll have a real player on our hands."
