Kidderminster Harriers 1-1 Boreham Wood

By Ged ScottBBC Sport at Aggborough

Kidderminster Harriers' winless start to the season stretched to 15 games as they were held to a draw at Aggborough by fellow strugglers Boreham Wood.

New signing Zaine Francis-Angol steered in a near-post header from Joe Clarke's corner to carve a ninth-minute lead.

But Wood levelled on 77 minutes with a 30-yard free-kick from Connor Clifford, who had been fouled by Clarke.

The visitors might have won it, but Junior Morias hit the post as Kidderminster were left holding on.

A quiet Tuesday evening in Kidderminster
The crowd at Aggborough was only 1,294 - the Harriers' lowest of the season. Boreham Wood brought an away following of just 34.

Morias also wasted a great early chance for Wood, who came on strong late on and could even have pinched the points.

But the bottom side carved out other openings of their own, Tahvon Campbell twice being denied by keeper James Russell.

He saved with his legs before the break when the Harriers striker ran clean through and then again from his reflex shot on the turn.

Harriers have now fallen three points adrift at the foot of the National League table as Halifax won at Altrincham.

Kidderminster Harriers caretaker manager Colin Gordon told BBC Hereford & Worcester:

"You could see the nervousness through the team. You need ice in the veins when the blood is boiling.

"We should have put the game to bed but, when we got in behind, we made poor choices. We tried to shoot instead of finding a team-mate.

"If we had more experience in the front line we'd score more goals. We've been saying all along that the position we are in we haven't got the 20 goal striker we need and that's the difference."
