Shrewsbury Town 4-2 Colchester United

Sullay Kaikai
Sullay Kaikai's second half brace secured the win for Shrewsbury.

Shrewsbury Town came back from two goals down against Colchester to earn their second league win of the season.

The U's controlled the first half, with a Mark Ellis own goal and Tom Eastman's backheel giving them a 2-0 lead.

It was a different story in the second half as substitute Tyrone Barnett scored twice to equalise.

Fellow sub Sullay Kaikai, also on at the break, then raced through to fire past Jamie Jones before adding a fourth to round off a remarkable game.

Shrewsbury boss Micky Mellon told BBC Radio Shropshire:

"I don't want to underestimate that comeback. It's hard enough to score four goals in this division at any time of the season.

"You have to keep measured in the changing room at half-time. We changed the shape, went more direct, increased the tempo and the goals came at the right time."

"The second-half performance overran Colchester. The performance of the substitutes was fantastic and I am really chuffed for all the players out there."
