Jamie Lucas and Joe Devara were on target as Boreham Wood earned their second home win of the season.
The home side took the lead against Welling through Lucas, who headed in from a Danny Woodards cross.
Welling had chances to get back into the game, with Harry Lee and Ricky Wellard testing keeper James Russell.
But Devara added the second with a low shot from Ricky Shakes' corner, before Welling's Harry Osbourne was sent off for a foul on Charlie MacDonald.
