Match ends, Shrewsbury Town 2, Bury 0.
Sullay Kaikai scored his fourth goal in four games as Shrewsbury Town ended a run of two defeats by beating Bury.
Bury full-back Chris Hussey fired wide and Reece Brown's shot was saved by Jayson Leutwiler before Kaikai's 20-yard volley struck the post.
The Crystal Palace loanee drilled in from the edge of the box after being played in by Abu Ogogo to make it 1-0.
Ogogo then scored his first goal for the club to secure victory with a 25-yard shot into the top corner.
Shrewsbury manager Micky Mellon told BBC Radio Shropshire:
"Abu Ogogo has played very well since he's been here. I'm so pleased for him. He scored an absolutely fantastic goal at a good time for us and to see him get a reward is fantastic. He was massive for us.
"He has stepped up a level form Dagenham and Redbridge but he gives you absolutely nothing but 100% in every game. That's the spirit I want to see right through the whole team.
"We've had a bit of a tough time but the support we got was absolutely fantastic and greatly needed. We were delighted with the performance and the fighting spirit against definitely the best team that's come here."
Bury manager David Flitcroft told BBC Radio Manchester:
"We've really gone to attack Shrewsbury and how we haven't got a goal I'm still scratching my head. In the first half, with Danny Mayor and Chris Hussey, we moved them about fantastically well. We've got Hussey in deep positions to get get crosses in, but our final ball just wasn't right.
"Goals change games. They change the complexion of a game. If we'd kept it at 0-0, we're still in control. I'm not going to harp on that we created more chances because we didn't win.
"We'll stick together and make sure we work on that aspect of our play because it's been fantastic this season the way we've scored a lot of goals."
