Rory Gaffney scored twice as Cambridge secured a narrow victory over Yeovil.
The U's took the lead after just four minutes as Gaffney made the most of a defensive error by Alex Lacey.
Gaffney doubled the visitors' lead with a deflected shot, before Luke Berry's volley from inside the box put Cambridge three up within 35 minutes.
Ryan Bird netted before half-time to give Yeovil hope but Josh Sheehan's drive from the back post with 10 minutes remaining came too late.
