Former Burnley and Bolton winger Chris Eagles has signed for League One side Bury until the end of the season.
Eagles had been without a club since being released at the end of a short-term contract with Charlton in May.
The 29-year-old former Manchester United trainee was on trial last week with League One rivals Coventry City.
"He joins a number of players we have given an opportunity to reignite their love of football," Bury boss David Flitcroft told the club website.
"Chris is an exceptional talent that needs a support structure that can help him realise his undoubted potential.
"We believe if we can get Chris back to his best then we will have an excellent addition to our already young and talented squad."
Bury, who are on a 10-match unbeaten run in League One, sit fourth in the table after 13 games.
