Reading have long-term injury worries over Stephen Quinn and Hal Robson-Kanu, manager Steve Clarke has confirmed.
Republic of Ireland international midfielder Quinn, 29, is out until the new year following knee surgery.
Wales striker Robson-Kanu faces up to eight weeks out after injuring his ankle during his country's final Euro 2016 qualifier against Andorra.
The 26-year-old will be doubtful for a possible friendly against the Netherlands in Cardiff on 13 November.
Clarke confirmed Robson-Kanu will not require surgery.
Quinn has made 10 appearances for the Royals, the last of which came against Bristol City on 19 September, since joining from Hull on a free transfer in the summer.
