Alfreton Town boss Nicky Law insists his side can produce an upset in Saturday's FA Cup fourth qualifying-round tie at Macclesfield.
The Reds have lost three straight National League North games, while Macclesfield have won four of their last six matches in the tier above.
"Macclesfield away is certainly not the ideal tie and will be tough," Law said.
"We are in a win-win scenario as nobody is really expecting us to get through. We are certainly capable of winning."
Afreton, where Law has been in charge since 2007, are rebuilding under the club's American owners following last season's relegation from the Conference.
They are 12th in National League North and Law believes playing higher-division opposition will be a good test of his team's progress.
"It is a great opportunity for our players to test themselves against a well established National League side and to see how far away our squad are from the next level," he said.
"We will just go and give it our best shot and see where it takes us. Hopefully it will be enough."
