Shameful day. The squad now is teeming with mercenaries. Not good when your mercenaries couldn't hit barn door let alone a target. He needed to be allowed to assert his authority and expect players to perform. His record speaks for itself and there is no doubt that CFC would have remained in the PL, adjusted the squad in the summer and seen this season as a necessary transition.
@1776 Regturner..Fair comment, I agree.
Blue is the colour is a clown.
Did Jose lose interest after Chelsea failed to land any stellar signings? The team played above itself last year but it was obvious that the defence needed reinforcements and they were too reliant on Costa. No significant signings arrived and Jose damaged his image with the Eva fiasco. He looked like he wanted out and now looks like a great coach rather than a great manager.
How sweet for Claudio, but he is such a nice man, I am sure he is more likely to be upset.I am not a Chelsea fan, but I have always liked Jose - probably unlike most football fans.I think if he wants to he will come back and entertain us some more.I'm sure he will make a fine pundit.
Good Riddance! The whole "concept" of Chelsea over the years has been abhorrent. The club, the management, the players, the supporters. Win at all costs. Now it's all coming home to roost. Yes that's right blues - we dislike you. Hopefully you'll be in the Championship next year - we won't miss you.
Absolutely shameful. The players need to be looked at more than the manager. Mourinho is world class, more so than half his players have ended up to be. Good luck chelsea- don't know where you'll find a better manager. There's plenty of fabragas and hazard types out there, but only one Jose
A multimillion pound payout and he gets Christmas and New Year off before a lot of clubs come asking him to go to thier club. Who is the more foolish, Chelsea or Jose
Is there ever going to be a time when professional players , who are paid hundreds of thousands a week, are held accountable. The Chelsea team should bow there heads in shame. Jose has given his all to the club and has been let down by the squad. As a supporter since 1957, I apologise to him and wish him and his family nothing but love and best wishes. God bless Jose , and Happy Christmas.
Oh what a shame. I was hoping he'd stay & then we could see if he got the chavs relegated. Dreadful methods used in many games then moaned at others. It's amazing to see when Refs aren't blatantly biased towards his team, how average they really are. Shame it never happened to MU when Fergie was in charge
# 1767Shanks would not agree - not life and death? You are in the wrong discussion, butt out.
Desperate situations call for desperate measures .. huge decision for the powers that be at CFC .. but in my opinion .. he had to go ...Farewell and good luck Jose ..
No surprise, but in truth it would have a better decision to kick out some of the over paid, under-performing, spice boys that are currently under the delusion of adequacy. A club run by it's players will never be long-term.
this is not good to chelsea for sacking jose morinho
A great shame as he was undoubtedly among the finest managers worldwide. Perhaps he will take note and now learn that man with closed mouth cannot put foot in.
