Angel Di Maria scored his third goal of the season as Paris St-Germain saw off Rennes to go 10 points clear at the top of Ligue 1.
The Argentine struck with 15 minutes remaining after Marco Verratti's superb through ball allowed Lucas Moura to deliver a telling cross from the left.
Laurent Blanc's side remain unbeaten this season, with 10 wins and two draws from their 12 matches so far.
Rennes remain seventh but are now without a win in seven games.
PSG play Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday, and midfielder Blaise Matuidi said former Manchester United winger Di Maria could have a big role to play.
"The goal will do Di Maria a lot of good, he's a great player," Matuidi said. "He just needs to adapt to our league, and I hope he has a great game on Tuesday."
PSG's closest challengers Angers play on Sunday, away at eighth-placed Monaco.
