Braintree dropped out of the National League play-off places as they were held to a draw at Woking.
The visitors, who held League Two side Oxford to a draw in the FA Cup at the weekend, went ahead when Sean Marks scored from close range.
Sammie Szmodics saw his 20-yard chip tipped to safety by Jake Cole as Braintree pushed for a second.
But Woking grabbed a point with 12 minutes left when John Goddard slotted home from the middle of the box.
Woking boss Garry Hill told BBC Surrey:
"I don't think we really got going in the first-half and I think they pressed us and were the better side but it was really a case of showing some character and digging in and I felt second half we certainly bossed the game.
"We were the better side for a long time and if there was one team was going to win was us, no doubt about that.
"We are low on confidence and we have a lot of young players and there were six young boys in the squad 21-years-of-age.
"You are going to get those indifferent performances but the pleasing thing tonight that we've come from behind and come out with a positive response and performance."
