Match ends, Bradford City 2, Aldershot Town 0.
Bradford City will host Southern League Premier Division Chesham United for a place in the FA Cup third round after a replay win over National League Aldershot.
The League One side, quarter-finalists last season, again struggled to break down the team from two levels below them.
But Greg Leigh cut inside to coolly chip in the opener after the break.
Tony McMahon's penalty doubled the lead after a foul on Luke James.
The Bantams knocked out Premier League sides Chelsea and Sunderland on their way to last season's sixth round, the club's best performance in the competition since 1976.
Their second round opponents, Chesham, knocked League Two Bristol Rovers out in the first round.
Aldershot Town manager Barry Smith told BBC Surrey:
"I am very proud of the players - they gave me everything over the two ties.
"We've held a very good League One side sitting seventh in the league and we've held them for the majority of the game. We're disappointed about getting beaten.
"The players can hold their heads up high after a performance like that. They gave everything that we asked them to do and gave everything for this club.
"We limited them to very few chances and unfortunately the difference in levels is the concentration and we switched off, which was the main difference."
