Scunthorpe United 0-2 Bradford City

Bradford City stretched their unbeaten run in League One to eight games with a deserved victory against Scunthorpe.

Midfielder Tony McMahon put the Bantams ahead from the spot after Kyel Reid was brought down by Gary McSheffrey.

Their lead was doubled when Billy Clarke passed to Greg Leigh, who fired the ball home from an acute angle.

Kevin van Veen shot wide for the hosts as Bradford, who play table-topping Coventry on Tuesday, extended their run without conceding to 578 minutes.

Scunthorpe United manager Mark Robins told BBC Radio Humberside:

Robins on Scunthorpe v Bradford

"Disappointed, flat, I thought we were poor. I thought they were better than us today and it's not often we have said that about teams but they've been better than us.

"They've had a really good away performance and a poor performance from the home team.

"It could have been different but having said that you've got to give them some credit, they deserved it and it's disappointing to say.

"We needed to work the ball wide and get the ball in to wide areas but do it with some pace and some energy."
