Joel Grant and Lee Holmes scored to beat Mansfield and give Exeter their second away win in four days.
Mansfield-born Holmes created the opener with a low cross which Grant slotted home from six yards.
Grant then returned the compliment by beating three challenges to set up the unmarked Holmes before half-time.
Mansfield, who have now failed to score in six of their last seven games, made few chances and only two Brian Jensen saves stopped Exeter scoring again.
