Goalkeeper Ben Hamer is returning to Leicester City after seeing his season-long loan spell at Championship club Bristol City cut short.
The 27-year-old joined the Robins in August to offer competition and cover for then injured Frank Fielding.
Hamer, a boyhood Bristol City fan, made five appearances for the club before Fielding returned as first-choice.
Bristol City host league leaders Hull on Saturday with four clean sheets from their last six matches.
Hamer, who is now expected to seek a loan move elsewhere, has made 10 appearances for Leicester since joining them from Charlton in 2014.
