Norwich City: Kyle Lafferty not leaving on loan - Alex Neil

Manager Alex Neil has said Norwich City will not loan out any more players, including striker Kyle Lafferty.

Northern Ireland international Lafferty, 28, was subject to interest from Leeds United, having only made two appearances for the Canaries this term.

"Nobody else will be leaving on loan or otherwise until January, and then we can assess the situation," said Neil.

"We've got a lot of games coming up that are important. I'm happy with the size of squad I've got at the moment."

Neil's side travel to Chelsea on Saturday, with the 15th-placed Canaries one position above Jose Mourinho's Premier League champions.

However, Norwich go to Stamford Bridge with only away league win in six attempts so far this season - at second-from-bottom Sunderland.

"I think everybody is looking at Chelsea week on week and expects them to turn it around and get back to the form they showed last year," Neil told BBC Radio Norfolk.

"But we've got to make sure that doesn't happen this week. We certainly don't want to be the ones that get the backlash."
