Inverness CT manager John Hughes says he hopes to seal a new contract with the club in the next few weeks.
Last season's Scottish PFA manager of the season was last month linked with the Dundee United post after leading Inverness to the Scottish Cup in May.
"I'm very content," Hughes told BBC Scotland's Sportscene.
"The negotiations are ongoing. If I was to stay at Inverness for the next couple of years I would be a happy guy."
In addition to winning the Highlanders' first ever major trophy, Hughes had already secured their first ever foray into European football after finishing third in last season's Scottish Premiership.
The 51-year-old is out of contract in the summer.
He said: "You never know what's going to happen and hopefully over the next couple of weeks we can get something sorted out and keep moving the club forward."
