Two second half goals from veteran Lee Miller were enough to give Falkirk all three points against Livingston and leapfrog Hibernian into second place in the Championship.

Liam Buchanan's header had hit the post in the first half for Livingston.

Miller gave Falkirk the lead when he slid in Blair Alston's ball from inside the six yard box.

Then the striker glanced Aaron Muirhead's cross beyond goalkeeper Darren Jamieson.

Strong swirling winds around the stadium made even short passes difficult to control.

The home side dominated possession early on but were finding it difficult to make the breakthrough.

Eventually they did manage to break down the Livingston rearguard thanks to both youth and experience.

Craig Sibbald worked his magic on the edge of the 18-yard box before playing the ball out wide to Alston.

The midfielders cross into the box was pounced upon by Miller who knocked the ball home from close range for his seventh of the season.

And on the hour mark Miler and Falkirk notched their second of the evening.

Aaron Muirhead sent in a teasing cross that Miller glanced with a header into the back of the net.

It was no more than Falkirk deserved and the three points enough to lift them up into second place, three behind leaders Rangers.
