Mark Smith: Chesterfield appoint caretaker manager

Chesterfield have appointed academy boss Mark Smith as their caretaker manager.
The Spireites parted company with Dean Saunders on Saturday following a 4-0 home defeat by Swindon.
Smith, 55, who had spells with Sheffield Wednesday, Plymouth and Barnsley as a player, joined the coaching staff at the Proact in 2013.
Chesterfield have lost their last four league games and are four points above the relegation zone in League One.
They host Walsall in the FA Cup second round on Saturday.
