Oxford United striker Danny Hylton says the squad will not get carried away despite going top of League Two.
The 26-year-old netted the only goal in a win at Hartlepool which also saw the U's finish November unbeaten.
Michael Appleton's side won six out of eight matches during an eventful month in league and cup competitions.
"We're very tight as a squad and nobody's getting over-excited. We know there's a lot of games still to be played," Hylton told BBC Radio Oxford.
The former Aldershot frontman bagged his sixth goal of the season at Victoria Park, just days after having to go off early against Newport because of illness.
"It's a long season ahead," Hylton added. "I'll keep going along and try to take the chances when they arrive.
"But, we've got lots of players that are creating opportunities."
