Swindon Town 2-1 Rochdale

Two goals in two first-half minutes helped Swindon Town overcome a Rochdale side that was forced to play almost 80 minutes with 10 men.

John O'Sullivan was shown a straight red card for his tackle on Yaser Kasim.

Fabien Robert latched onto Brad Berry's cross to open the scoring for Swindon before Ben Gladwin added a second, with his 30-yard effort deflecting past goalkeeper Joel Castro Pereira.

Oliver Lancashire pulled one back from close-range, but Swindon held on.

Rochdale manager Keith Hill told BBC Radio Manchester:

"I think the officials, every single one of the officials, have let both teams down today with that standard of refereeing.

"My lads have given it everything. Every ounce of sweat, blood and they've got nothing for it, absolutely nothing. They've been severely let down today.

"When we're down to 10 men and we're playing against such an outstanding side who keep the ball very well, it's very difficult."
