Leyton Orient's players celebrate their goal against Mansfield Town
Orient had the better of the first half and led through Jay Simpson's strike

Mansfield shared the spoils with fellow League Two play-off hopefuls Leyton Orient at the One-Call Stadium.

The visitors took the lead when Jay Simpson met a Jobi McAnuff cross to flick home a header.

The Stags levelled through Reggie Lambe, who volleyed Craig Westcarr's cross past Orient keeper Alex Cisak.

Lloyd James and Simpson both threatened for the O's, while Krystian Pearce went closest for the hosts, clipping the post with a header.

The draw leaves Mansfield seventh in the table and in the play-off places while Orient are one point adrift in ninth.

Mansfield Town manager Adam Murray told BBC Radio Nottingham:

"In the second half we were dominant. We had the better chances and hit the post and never really looked like conceding.

"But in the first 30 minutes we were all over the place. We conceded an early goal so coming back and drawing, we are probably happy.

"We probably should have gone on to win but overall it was good point. But the first 30 minutes we need to look at. The conditions were horrendous. It was a no-risk game."

Leyton Orient manager Ian Hendon told BBC Radio London:

"Obviously with the conditions it was very difficult out there. We went a goal up and then conceded a sloppy goal.

"It's a difficult game, they're the home team, you expect them to come out and have a go which they did but I don't really think Alex Cisak has had too much to do.

"I'm not saying it was a good performance, it was a scrappy performance but the boys dug in in horrible conditions, and we come away from home and don't get beat."
