Greig Spence hit a first-half winner as Cowdenbeath ended a run of two straight defeats with a win at Forfar.

Ian Campbell had an early effort for Forfar saved, while Gavin Swankie shot wide.

But Cowdenbeath went ahead when Declan Hughes played in Spence and drilled past Robert Douglas.

Spence saw another effort turned away by Douglas as the visitors pressed for a second, but Forfar struggled to create anything of note.
