Aldershot Town 1-0 Guiseley

Aldershot Town registered their first victory in eight league games with a home win over Guiseley.

Adam Boyes had the best chance in the first-half for the visitors, but his shot was well defended by Joe Oastler.

Aldershot began strongly after the break, with Charlie Walker and Daniel Carr both going close to scoring.

And substitute Tom Richards slotted Jake Gallagher's cross home for his first senior goal to move the Shots up to 16th place in the National League.

Aldershot Town boss Barry Smith told BBC Surrey:

"It was a difficult game and we've played better football and lost in other matches, but today it was about grinding out a result.

"It wasn't the prettiest game we've ever played, but I thought the players showed a lot of desire and were rewarded with with that.

"It was a great all-round team performance in terms of work rate and commitment. Every other game that has been here the boys showed tremendous commitment and the fans recognised that and they've stayed behind the players which was great and they were rewarded."
