Shaun Rooney hit the only goal of the game as Dunfermline stretched their lead at the top of League One to six points with a win over Stenhousemuir.
Faissal El Bakhtaoui, Stuart Malcolm and Josh Falkingham all went close for the Pars in the first half.
David Hopkirk headed narrowly wide for Dunfermline after the break.
Rooney finally broke the deadlock when he got on the end of Joe Cardle's low cross to fire home from close range and secure all three points.
