Torquay beat promotion-chasing Forest Green to secure their first home win since the opening day of the season.
Keanu Marsh-Brown's strike from range put Rovers in front, only for Tyrone Marsh to convert Andre Wright's cross to equalise soon after.
Marsh headed in his second to give Torquay the lead, before Dan Lavercombe kept out a string of Rovers efforts.
Durrell Berry added the Gulls' third with a close-range effort, before Wright broke though to add a fourth.
Forest Green boss Ady Pennock told BBC Radio Gloucestershire:
"We weren't brave enough on the ball, I just thought we smashed it when we should have played in good areas.
"It took us half an hour to wake up, but I just thought the goals were awful to concede.
"All over the pitch they were better than us, they won absolutely everything from the first whistle to the last and that was one of the worst performances I've been involved in here."
