Carpi 2-3 Juventus

Mario Mandzukic
Mario Mandzukic scored his first double for Juventus

Champions Juventus made it seven consecutive Serie A victories as they beat Carpi to continue their revival.

In late October, the Turin side were 11 points off the top, but they are now within three points of leaders Inter Milan, who play Lazio later on Sunday.

Serie A debutants Carpi led through Marco Borriello but Mario Mandzukic volleyed Juve level and then headed home Patrice Evra's cross.

Paul Pogba added a third before Leonardo Bonucci's late own goal.

And after Bonucci put the ball into his own net in injury time, Lorenzo Lollo wasted a chance to rescue a surprise draw with a weak effort with the last kick.

Juventus, who were 12th when they lost to Sassuolo on 28 October, went up to second for two hours, before being overtaken again by Napoli, who beat Atalanta 3-1, and Fiorentina, who saw off Chievo 2-0.
