Fleetwood Town 1-3 Wigan Athletic

Two late goals saw Wigan sink struggling Fleetwood and move up to fifth in League One.

The Latics took the lead when Andy Kellett's dragged effort bobbled under Fleetwood keeper Chris Maxwell.

Wigan struck the bar twice before Antoni Sarcevic levelled for Fleetwood from the penalty spot.

Jordy Hiwula converted a parried shot by fellow substitute Yanic Wildschut, before Michael Jacobs slotted home to secure victory for Wigan.

Wigan manager Gary Caldwell told BBC Radio Manchester:

"I thought we played well. It was very difficult conditions in the first-half and I thought without creating too many chances we were very much in control.

"Second-half, against a really strong wind, we managed to create two great opportunities.

"The players never know when they're down and they keep fighting and came back to win convincingly in the end."
