Match ends, Scunthorpe United 1, Wigan Athletic 1.
Wigan came from behind to earn a point at Scunthorpe and remain in the League One play-off places.
The home side had taken the lead after 20 minutes when Luke Williams steered in a low cross from Scott Laird.
But Michael Jacobs equalised before half-time with an excellent finish from the edge of the area.
Scunthorpe's David Mirfin cleared off the line to deny Jason Pearce, while Wigan goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen saved from Stephen Dawson late on.
Scunthorpe manager Mark Robins told BBC Radio Humberside:
"I thought we played well. I thought we were a worthy team to go in front. I think we dealt with their threats really, really well. I think there was some good performances today because they've got lightening pace on the left-hand side.
"Our use of the ball was decent at times. I thought we were a threat and played some decent football against a side that has probably the best squad in the division. It's a decent point and I accept a point, but I'm a bit disappointed in fairness because we could have nicked something at the end.
"A draw is possibly a fair result so I can take it but I would have liked all three points."
Wigan manager Gary Caldwell told BBC Radio Manchester:
"I thought it was a good game with two teams really working hard to win it.
"I thought we had control - we lost a goal at a bad time in the game when we were just starting to get control.
"When we got our goal back I felt from then on we had real control of the game."
