Cambridge United 1-4 AFC Wimbledon

Jon Meades
Jon Meades had not scored for Wimbledon since rejoining the club last summer

Wimbledon ended Cambridge United's six-game unbeaten run in League Two in emphatic style at the Abbey Stadium.

Wimbledon took the lead through Paul Robinson's header from a corner, only for the U's Luke Berry to level with a fine header of his own.

The Dons dominated the second half with Lyle Taylor finishing to the bottom left corner before Jon Meades' strike put Wimbledon in control.

Adebayo Azeez made it four with a fine finish after rounding Sam Beasant.

AFC Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley told BBC Radio London:

"Second half I thought there was only one team going to win, I thought we were breathtaking.

"We've got 21 games to go, we need to average 1.6 or 1.65 points a game across those games to get to the mark where we think the playoffs would be.

"There's three spaces that everyone is battling for and everyone's winning games."
