Gavin Mitchell's goal was enough to give Queen's Park a victory that allowed them to leapfrog opponents Clyde into second place in League Two.
The Bully Wee had made the early running, but the defender converted at the back post from a pinpoint pass by Sean Burns.
Scott Linton sent a close-range header wide and forced a great save from Willie Muir as Clyde tried to level.
But the visitors were worth their slender victory.
