Patrick Bamford: Chelsea striker sorry for Crystal Palace remarks
Patrick Bamford has issued an apology after describing his loan spell at Crystal Palace as "terrible".
"That was my last game for Palace. It has been terrible," he said.
But in a statement on his Twitter page on Wednesday, Bamford wrote: "My comments were taken out of context."
He added: "I want to apologise. I've really enjoyed my time at Palace, the lads were brilliant, the gaffer and training were great.
"I couldn't have been at a nicer club. I'm just disappointed I couldn't do more for the team."
The England Under-21 international did not make a Premier League start after arriving from Chelsea on a season-long loan in the summer.
He made five league appearances as a substitute, with his only two starts for Palace coming in the League Cup.
