Plymouth Argyle manager Derek Adams says he is in talks about extending the loan spells of Hiram Boateng, Oscar Threlkeld and Craig Tanner.
The trio's loan deals all run out on 2 January and have played 62 times for the League Two leaders between them.
Midfielder Boateng is from Crystal Palace, Tanner from Reading and Threlkeld is a Bolton Wanderers player.
"We're still talking to the three clubs that we have the long term loanees," Adams told BBC Radio Devon.
"Come the January transfer window we're looking to strengthen as well," he added.
But Adams says there is little chance of any Argyle players leaving in January.
"We're very tight for numbers, we've got 18 players to choose from come Saturday, so it's not going to be possibility at this moment in time," he said.
