Coventry City have extended the loan of Newcastle United midfielder Gael Bigirimana until 24 January.
The 22-year-old began his career with the Sky Blues and rejoined the club, who are currently fourth in League One, in November.
Bigirimana has made five appearances for promotion-chasing City, including three starts, during his loan spell.
He is now available for key games with third-placed Walsall, leaders Burton Albion and Southend United, in seventh.
Coventry boss Tony Mowbray is trying to seal a similar deal to keep another Newcastle loanee, in-form striker Adam Armstrong, at the club.
