Luton Town players have had an internal meeting to discuss their run of one win in nine matches in all competitions.
The Hatters' form led to the sacking of manager John Still, and despite victory in their first game under caretaker boss Andy Awford against Exeter, two defeats and a draw have followed.
After Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Bristol Rovers, players met on Monday to talk.
"We've had words with each other as it needs to be better," defender Luke Wilkinson told the club website.
"Everyone knows that, we know that, the fans know that, the staff know that. All of us have got to step up and try and push up the league now.
"It's not a personal thing, we all want the same thing, we all want to be as high up in the league as we can. We all want to push for promotion.
"If it means you have to tell someone they're not doing their job properly you've got to do it, whether it be me being told or me telling someone else, it doesn't matter."
